WILDWOOD CANYON STATE PARK HIKE
We are excited to get out for a hike together Saturday April 25 8:00AM. We will be hiking in beautiful Wildwood Canyon State Park.
The main reason for this hike is to fellowship and get to know each other better while enjoying the outdoors. We are looking forward to some good conversation and camaraderie on the trail. God has blessed us with each other and may this time be encouraging and glorying to God.
We'll be tackling a roughly 5 1/2 mile intermediate hike. Just to give you a heads-up, there will be a fair amount of incline at times, so please consider this when deciding if this hike is a good fit for you. If you're not comfortable walking around 8 miles, this might be a challenging outing.
We'll be meeting at the Wildwood Canyon State Park Parking lot. When you put in the name of the park in Google maps it will bring you right to the parking lot where we will meet at 8:00AM.
Please be sure to prepare with the following:
Plenty of water: Aim for at least 1 or 2 liters in a backpack. Staying hydrated is crucial!
Snacks: Bring some energy-boosting snacks to keep you going throughout the hike.
A comfortable backpack to carry your water and snacks.
Appropriate footwear: hiking boots or walking shoes are fine.
A good hat and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun.
Check the weather the day before to see how to dress. Layers are always good.
Also, after the hike we will eat lunch together. So pack a small lunch pale or cooler and we will leave our lunches in the cars and eat together when we get back to the parking lot. There are some great shady places to eat near the parking lot. So bring an outdoor chair.
Please invite friends to join us and have them sign up also. Looking forward to being together.
