What is the Gospel?
God Is the Loving Creator and Ruler of Everything
God made the world and made us to live in relationship with Him, under His good and loving rule.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1
“The LORD has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.” — Psalm 103:19
Humanity Rejects God’s Rule (Sin)
Instead of living God’s way, all of us choose to live our own way—ignoring or rejecting God as King.
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23
“Each of us has turned to his own way.” — Isaiah 53:6
Sin Brings Judgment and Death
Because God is just, sin must be judged. The result of rejecting God is spiritual death and eternal separation from Him.
“The wages of sin is death.” — Romans 6:23
“It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” — Hebrews 9:27
Jesus Christ Is God’s Rescue Plan
Out of love, God sent His Son Jesus, fully God and fully man to live a sinless life, take the punishment we deserve by dying on the cross for our sins and rising from the dead 3 days later.
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
“Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God.” — 1 Peter 3:18
Two Ways to Live
This salvation is a gift, one that we get to choose to accept or deny. God is Holy and cannot be near our sin, but He created a path, a bridge, a way for us to live for eternity with Him.
Option 1: Continue Living Your Own Way
Remain in control of your life
Face God’s judgment
Eternal separation from Him
“Whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” — John 3:36
Option 2: Turn and Live God’s Way (Through Jesus)
Repent (turn from sin)
Trust Jesus as Savior and King
Receive forgiveness and eternal life
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9
The Right Response: Repent and Believe
To choose this eternal life, we must repent of our sin and by faith believe that Jesus died for our sins, rose again, and now wants to have a relationship with you!
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.” — Acts 3:19
“The life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” - Galatians 2:20
